Katie & Max

It may have been April 1st, but this wedding was no joke. (Haha!)

All joking aside, this bride and groom were wonderful. Their joy and love for each other on this special day was immeasurable. They had a small ceremony with close family and friends who were most dear to them.

Katie and Max are a unique couple, not only in their style and personalities, but in the way they wanted to spend their day. "Two wedding receptions", she told me. At first, I was confused because I had never seen this done before, but Katie's vision was concrete and clear. She knew exactly how she and Max would make the most of the time they had to spend with those they love.

Once the ceremony ended guests were greeted with hors d'oeuvres and Heavenly Donuts. The bride and groom made their entrance and had their first dance overlooking the water. After spending an hour speaking to friends and thanking them for coming, Katie and Max exited, surrounded by bubbles and made their way to a secluded area for more pictures together at sunset.

Reception 2 was such a sweet time!

Katie and Max came back from time alone to the sun setting over the Tennessee River. Their immediate family and wedding party gathered around them for a time of toasting and prayer. This unique time for them was the substitute for their rehearsal dinner. Stories from the past, encouraging words, laughs and happy cries surrounded this wonderful group of people. Their joy, happiness and love was apparent on this beautiful day. Katie and Max exited one last time through a tunnel of sparklers. It was the perfect ending of a joyous celebration.

Congratulations Katie and Max on a wonderful start to your life of love!
